On Saturday, April 23, 2005, Doug and I left Zaandam to drive to
Keukenhof.
Keukenhof is a park located in Lisse, Holland in the
Netherlands. This year it is open from March 24 to May
20. [ larger view]

These first photos are taken from our car as we are driving on
the N208 SSW of Amsterdam between Haarlem and Den Haag.
The drive was about 45 minutes from our apartment. [ larger

There were fields after fields of brightly planted flowers. [ larger

Multi-colored strips of flowers lined both sides of the road. [ larger view]

These next 2 photos are not very good because I wasn't prepared
to see a bunch of vintage cars as we turned into the park.
This blue one has 2 front wheels and one rear wheel.

We turned into our aisle in the overflow lot. We were in
the 2nd to the last row at around 10 a.m.

I took a photo of the sign just in case you didn't think we were
really there. lol Euro $12.50/person for entrance,
$4.00 for parking and $3.00 for the information booklet.
Not a cheap day, but well worth the price of admission in the
beauty department. [ larger
